Time for an employee or out source??
I need someone to do the updates and load pages. Change a million links etc. Sort of the stuff i do everyday. I want to go drink on a beach and check in once in a while. Ok, I work like hell, and I want to off load the shit.
Do you give access to your server? Do you have employees across borders etc? What are some simple pitfalls to avoid or good things to do?? |
i wouldnt trust xxxoutsourcing, i would build trust someone close to you, a friend that you know in the business someone close that you know has the skills :)

Hire and train a monkey, it will save you in the long run.

No pets and no friends. I want someone local who I can have decent contact with. Parttime and they don't need much skill to cut and paste and load a page up.

ah gotcha. i used to do that shit. I learned it is ten times better to hire someone who can do the job day one. I got that from Microsoft and it works.

good luck finding someone

I would highly recommend you do NOT hire a friend or someone from the industry.

I owned an IT consulting firm in 2000 with 250+ employees. When the bubble burst and I had to shut down the company, 65 of those employees tried to sue me for all kinds of fake claims like unpaid vacation, fake commission numbers, etc. It was going to cost me more to fight the claims than to settle....cost me $148,000.
Some of the people that sued me I had known for years and they knew I had spent everything I had to try and keep the company open. Fucking sucked. I'll never have an employee again. Having said that, if you outsource make sure you outsource to a company not an individual. Otherwise, if things go sour they can claim they thought they were employees and sue you. Even if you get an I9, have them sign a contract, whatever, they can still sue you and you have to go to court and spend money. |
