i wouldnt bring that much with me, if you wanna transfer money, do it with western union, or a bank transfer, why would you want to bring that much cash anyways?

i dont trust people for shit:2 cents:

debbieN 12-01-2004 02:56 PM

don't all you webmasters have cash saved in your house?

I guess the IRS looks at this site.

debbieN 12-01-2004 02:57 PM

by over 10K is trouble.

will they not let me move my own money anywhere I want?

Warden 12-01-2004 03:01 PM

I'm not sure what it is within the States but you can't leave or return to the U.S. with more than 10k without facing a shitstorm.

you be be better off hiking alot more then you need once through the mountains or something

mynetporn 12-01-2004 03:02 PM

I would think that you could take as much money as you could carry. If you get searched though and have more than 10k you will be asked alot of questions and most likely have to fill out some forms.:2 cents:

You wouldn't find it strange for somebody to be traveling with thousands of dollars in cash? That would look very suspicious. And honestly I wouldn't feel safe flying with that amount of cash. There has to be a better way to move it.

BRISK 12-01-2004 03:04 PM

I've never heard of a country putting restrictions on how much you can travel with within the country, only if you're leaving the country.

Sosa 12-01-2004 03:06 PM

why not just do a bank wire?

I dont think the plain crash because of overweight....unless you bring a hell lots of coins :1orglaugh

fl_prn_str 12-01-2004 03:07 PM

BIG signs at the airport before getting to the TSA screening areas...More then $10,000.00 (USD) and there gonna have problems......most of the time they call the IRS.

wes 12-01-2004 03:08 PM

Yeak man just wire it or keep it in a briefcase... but please don't be stupid and check the bag. walk on with that bitch.

Greg Jacobson 12-01-2004 03:09 PM

If you get searched at the airport and they find a huge stack of cash and it will be confiscated. You will have to fight to get it back. Does not matter the amount, they can do anything they fucking please.

Yes, 10k is the limit you can leave or enter the country with unless you delcare the money to customs. Even then it is risky because it looks suspicious.

Try paying cash at the airport for a ticket and see how long it takes for an undercover agent to stop you and ask you some questions.

10,000 dollars like everyone else said, that is the cut off to report it to the irs

brand0n 12-01-2004 03:12 PM

9994 just to be safe

do you want the irs going through the books? always fun.

if you must transport that amount of cash, do you have 4-10 friends who want to come to fl for the weekend? eatch one of them take 10k

good idea, though it looks even more suspicious

mynetporn 12-01-2004 03:15 PM

You could always just drive up and not have to worry about the TSA and the IRS. FL to MI is only a 19 hour drive depending on where you start and end. Orlando to Detroit 19 hours.

debbieN 12-01-2004 03:15 PM

well fuck

I will have to drive.

alot of times.

too bad gold weighs more than cash.

mynetporn 12-01-2004 03:16 PM

What about diamonds and such they are lighter and easier to hide.:Graucho

debbieN 12-01-2004 03:17 PM

thanks, why did I not think about that.

problem solved.

As long as you don't get pulled over, driving would be your best bet. But don't get pulled over, any cop would find that very suspicious and probably suspect its drug or weapon money.

Goatse 12-01-2004 11:35 PM

10k in cash is the maximum you can carry. Of course, wire transfers and whatnot are still possible if you want to buy a car or a house.

As much as you want. Get a cashier check! Cash it when you arrive. Pretty and simple.

Oh but you don't want the reporting. Oops :) Then yeah - drive with the cash, like in the movies.

Candice 12-01-2004 11:43 PM

Yep yep, as stated above, 10k is the most you can legally travel with, I wouldn't push it and try travelling with more the way security is these days, just asking for trouble! :)

xoxo,

Candice :Kissmy
