stupid software return policies
 

So I'm standing at Fry's trying to figure out what software will write checks, instead of the hand-written kind.

The VersaCheck blank check refills says "Microsoft Money is Compatible" so I assume this means it will fill out the blanks. So I bought Microsoft Money instead of VersaCheck because MM does a ton more than the Versacheck software by itself. After the past 3 hours of fucking with this peice of shit, I realize the account routing details need already be filled out on the checks, prior to feeding.

What bullshit. Now I need to go buy the actual Versacheck software to do what I originally needed, and this fucking Fry's receipt says they won't take opened software back for exchange. I'm kinda pisseed off, cause that was the only thing I needed it for.

Most of the places here work the same way. BUT...they're give you a brand new, unopened copy that you can go exchange elsewhere.

yeah, honesty gets you no where with some of those companies. Tell them what they want to hear so they can put it in their little computer as defective.
