WTF? Before I had 1056 MB of RAM in my computer, now its showing I have 728 MB??
I had 1056 MB of RAM memory in one of my computers, but the past few days its been running some of my applications considerably slower, so I was checking some things and looked at my specs and now its showing I only have 728 MB of RAM??
I opened up the computer, checked to see maybe the ram had come out of the slots, it had not, I restarted a few times, its still showing 728 MB. Did the RAM die?? What the hell happened to it? |
Found this on Google. Didn't read it through...but maybe it'll help.

it got fried.
get a real computer. |
sounds like one of the ram chips took a dump
|
sounds like a stick died. Start removing a stick at a time until you find out which one being removed doesn't affect the counted ram. IE: when one is removed and ram stays at 728 you know it's the bad one you just removed
|
Tep, it seems you problems with hardware.
|
Yep, one of your RAM died ! :(
R.I.P. |
i'd say the same thing. happened to me about a year back.
one of the sticks croaked. |
