ccbill canceling accts just cause they want to
Hey guys, has anyone else noticed in the last couple of weeks thier cancels going thru the roof on ccbill. When i call them they tell me they are canceling those accts because they are susupected fraud, no chargeback, no complaint from the cardholder but based on criteria they just feel they are fraud, when i ask for proof they tell me sorry we cant divulge that information. WTF they cant tell me any information on MY customers. Anyone else seen issues like this and what did you do about it.

I highly doubt that , I might bust thier balls but ccbill is a very good and honorable company.

if you mean webadmin subaccounts yes they do when theyre inactive or not updating within 30 days thats TOS
but regular selling subaccounts nah they wont, ask corvett or [email protected] id say... |
If you have ever had your own merchant account this scenario might make more sense to you. When I had my own several years ago for paysite processing, I used to do the same thing. You would be surprised how insightful a manual review can be. With their volumes it would be near impossible to review everything manually but I think that done periodically it is very proactive to do this.

where is your company registered?

It always is difficult to comment on a subject on which there is not much information available.
Highly doubtful is that any processor would cancel an account just because ?they feel like it?. In the event that a merchant/seller account is in fact suspended or closed, there must be a reason for it; giving a detailed reason however, may reveal some fraud prevention processes. This sometimes is one of the reasons why a company reserves the right to close/decline accounts without giving a reason. Just my thoughts on this. |
Jim, i think that i know what this is about and it has nothing to do with us indiscriminately canceling accounts, please icq me when you have a minute so that we can get on the same page with this

Ok, first off i never questioned the fact that ccbill is our #1 processor, thier hosting with cave has been unsurpassed and their tech support has been for the most part quick and good. I posted this because in the 6 years of doing business with cumonherface we have never seen this level of fraud, and yes thats what it turned out to be, fraud. The answers we were given at first seemed like bullshit but Corvet took an hour out of his day to fully explain what was going on. I may not be a newbie to cumming on chicks faces but I am still a newbie when it comes to fraud, we just never got hit like this and our charge back ratio was always like .01% for as long as i remember. Anyway hats off to ccbill for taking a pissed off guy who didnt understand what was going on and making him happy, guess thats why we will always keep ccbill #1 in any cascade we do.

good to see you posting here |
processors are in tough - i think when u see them doing things like this it's a good sign, it means they are trying to keep their merchant accounts in good standing and erring on the side of caution - alot- of people depend on both Epoch and CCBILL staying around longterm - not many people in this biz could get their own merchant account and not many could hang on to one if they got it.

As i have been contacted by at least one of their affiliates concerning this thread, i want to mention something:
cohf has been in excellent standing with CCBill and Cavecreek for the past 5 years and their position in that regard has never been stronger. i am going to mention that (with their permission) the issue in this thread is about several rogue fraudulent affiliates that had sent fraudulent transaction, were subsequently canceled and the real issue was nothing more than miscommunication regarding those affiliates?to summarize, they are a great group of people who run an excellent program and are NOT in any 'trouble' with ccbill |
