Adult Browsers...Why did they Fail?????
 

what happened to adult browsers... i remember sextrackers, CE's etc and it was all so heavily pushed... then they all just dissapeared just as quickly.

was blocking banner ads, cookies and popups a silly idea after all for a sponsor to do... or was there a different reason.

They weren't as pretty as IE.

Wasnt that the browser where all the bookmarks went to paysites? I remember trying it out (if its the one im thinking of) and after realizing the only thing you could do with it was visit paysites, i put it in the WTF pile. I couldn't imagine anyone using it for more than 20 minutes.

That whopping 15 or 20 cents pay wasn't going to keep it on anyones favorite to push list either. http://bbs.gofuckyourself.net/board/biggrin.gif

I think it was indeed the biased favorites. Everybody was pushing a different browser and they all had a lot of ads in it. I wouldn't mind pushing a new browser if it didn't have ads pushed in to it first. Most browsers were IE with a different skin, which doesn't solve any problems with auto-bookmarks and the lot. Maybe it's time to write a good browser to surf adult-sites. One that doesn't allow auto-bookmarks and one that does full support of the good features of JavaScript
