A cordless phone in my house picks up other conversations
This used to happen about 1 out of 50 times I picked a phone up about 12 years ago, but this is really wierd. It was a cheap ass 2.4ghz GE phone from Walmart that was about $30. I never heard anything the first 6 months but the last month I hear weirder and weirder shit. At first I thought my phone was tapped and people were playing on the line. And it doesnt seem like the people I hear can hear me.
Anyone know why this happens? I didn't listen to the other people but it makes me wonder if people ahve listened to me. |
I used to pick them up on a police scanner...

Do you continue to hear the conversations in your head even after you put the phone down?

Neat. My headphones could do that.

Someone is on that frequency or your phone lines at the switch are too close and picking up the other line's signals.

Im not sure with the newer frequencies if they are still able to be picked up on scanners. Or basic scanners I should say. I never use a cordless or cell for security stuff (banking for example) just to be safe.

Get a 5.8 gig. Uniden makes an awesome one. I've had mine since they first came out and have NEVER had any other conversations or even static on it.

Digital cell phones are more secure than land lines. |

Before you pick up the phone don't forget to put on your tin foil hat...:2 cents: |
