I have something for class I can't figure out.

What would be the easiest way to measure the transfer speeds from:

local ram to local ram?
local ram to local disk?
local disk to local disk?
local ram to remote ram?
local disk to remote disk?

What's the operating system?

windows xp on a pentium 4 2.79 Ghz

512 kb cache size, 800 Mhz data rate front side bus, 56 gb harddrive 7200 rpm
