How long is a good vacation?
 

To just step away from what you're doing and get your head cleared? 3 days? 5 days? A Month?

a week is too short, and two weeks is too long.

Hard to say in days/weeks.
A good vacation is one that you enjoy and relax.
When you are finished and ready to return to work you will know it.

That's too long IMO. By day 7 I start thinking about work. :2 cents:

I'd rather take two (2) 1-week vacations with that time.

3 days is enough for me to have a good vacation :)

I agree with this, but I still usually take week vacations depending on where I'm going.

for me -> long vacation 8 days
just to get your mind cleared -> 4 days


Longer than 8 days is impossible. takes to mutch preparation, and I would miss work.

That 4 day Thanksgiving weekend couldn't have come at a better time. :2 cents:

It all depends on the quality of holiday. To me, sitting around is not a holiday and I would never do such.

Left the office and the city on Friday, drove four hours (huh, work?? I do not have a job). Pitched my tent at the base of Roche Miette (-12 degrees Celsius).

Wake up @ 6am, pack up camp. Stuff the VW and off to the hills.

Life is Grande! 10,000+ lunges down a mountain over two days.

two weeks vacation away from civilization, probably somehere on a remote island where i can reach with nature and clear my dead mind :thumbsup

Depends, if you know you have your shit sorted back at home/online then 3 weeks is fantastic. If you just wanna take a break from it all 10-14 days.

I just took one, one week vacation last week...

I didn't go anywhere or do anything...

just relaxed... hung out with my girl...

That was good... was ready to get back to work...

I have another one i'm taking at the end of december...

7-10 days is my input to clear your head..

about 24 hours, maybe less.
The next holiday I'm gonna take will be 3 weeks or so. It's gonna happen next summer, and I don't think I can handle 3 weeks away from computer. lol. :)
