How do I install winsock 2 or something like that BACK? I can't connect to the net from that computer anymore :) I'm on my laptop now. SHIT

Try system restore. Not sure if it will bring back delete files, but it's worth a shot.

I'm sooo tired after spending the entire day on this crap. I'm going to do a system restore and see how that works.

Even more trouble :) Now svchost.exe takes 99% cpu because it couldn't find the freaking file AVG AntiVirus deleted. LOL. Ok, system restore...

Spybot, ad aware, spysweeper and spyware blaster is all you need

System Restore is your friend... it even saves dragging out CDs:thumbsup

First time I'm using it.. Before I run it I back up everything on one CD (all the important stuff). You can't trust Microsoft...

dont forget system restore is one of the first places viruses hit and infect shit, so you might be rolling back into a worse trojaned PC than you have now

I tried it.. When I clicked Fix It - my computer rebooted.

I've never had any problems undoing a System Restore.

If you can't solve it by doing an "install-over" of Windows, looks like it's formatty time.
