What program are you using? I edit with Final Cut Pro for the Mac but if you are using Windows, Vegas is good.

Which program? If you use any version of Adobe Premiere I recommend checking out http://www.stevengotz.com/premiere.htm and the tutorials on Adobe's Premiere web site pages, as well as the Adobe Premiere forums.
