Domains in redemption period
How does this work ?? How soon can i buy one ?
example , www.andygirls.com Is it available ? How soon could i buy it. ? |
ask Taboo. he is the domain wizard around here
|
It's usually around 45-60 days, although it's supposedly 30 days.
I've bought a domain like this, and waiting much longer than I expected. Good luck though. |

for sure he is... I think though it depends on the current registrar but I'm not 100% sure on that... if you have a link to that gfy search, check for a thread on domain forums, I think someone posted a few good ones a couple weeks back... I'll check my bookmarks... |

Smokey, I am looking to do the same. If you find him please pass on any info. I will do the same.
In fact I have a few links take a look at pool.com and snapnames.com I think that snapnames is 60$ for them to try and get it for you. But I am not sure. |

If anyones interested though, the domain mentioned gets google images traffic so i thought i would snag it. I will look the next few days and try and get it, if anyone else gets it , please tell us how you did it. |

the rules have changed for a few drop services.
SNAPNAMES.com: $60 to place your backorder (BO). You don't pay unless they catch it. If others also BO, 3 day auction takes place. backorder by 1pm EST ENOM.com/CLUBDROP.com: BO for only $10 +your reg fee ($6.95 &up). You don't pay unless they catch it. If others also BO, 3 day auction takes place. backorder by 1pm EST if a name you want is listed in the clubdrop section and already has bids above $10, you can still enter the auction by bidding $10. POOL.com: $60 minimum they added sealed auction phase. (= more $) check their FAQ for info. backorder by 2pm EST NAMEWINNER.com $30 minimum. bidding takes place day of drop. bidding ends @ 1PM EST. if they catch it, you pay. you bid the price you're willing to pay if they do catch it. there are extended auction rules. check FAQ. GODADDY.com $18 BO. pay in advance. only 1 per domain. if they don't catch it (rarely works) you get credit to apply to another domain. if it's a name you really want, BO it EVERYWHERE. if it's a name EVERYONE wants, expect to pay a lot. with most services, be careful what you backorder, because if they catch it... it's yours. SNAPNAMES used to (hope they still don't) automatically register domains for $60 if you made a typo, etc. i.e. if you really wanted to backorder SAMPLE.com but typed in SAMPEL.com, they would reg it for $60 for you. and DON'T TELL OTHERS WHAT DOMAIN YOU ARE WATCHING this way, if it's not one of the hot ones dropping, you may get it for under $60 or $30 or $17. :) i.e. I really wanted gearotica.com for a blog/store I'm working on. I BO'd it everywhere, except GoDaddy, and was willing to pay minimum everywhere SNAP & POOL for $60, NameWinner for $30, but Enom caught it for $26.95. Perhaps my BO's at Pool & Snap were at the end of their que (no other bidders = less money for them). In fact, today I was able to grab LCDIndustry.com myself for $6.50 even though I BO'd it everywhere. good luck to everyone. |
