VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY, TRUE.
You have to understand what motivates a buyer to sell him something. The problem with too many here is they see it as a numbers game, something you can program success into. Well reality check. People do not jerk off to numbers, a
GOOD deal, programs or anything else.
Now look at the original question and you see the problem.

Im starting to think it is damn Teen sites ... surfers are getting to f'in smart

If be smart you mean they are no longer falling for what you deliver then you are right.
Teens should be the easiest to get traffic, just so many looking for it, but also a well supplied market with lots of happy customers. So you have to compete.
Where do you get your content?
Does most of the content fall within the niche you are selling?
Do the teens look 16-18 or 22-25?
Is the content bought on price or converting ability?
Is your design the same as everyone elses?
What is the "Twist" to your site?
Do you target your prospective members or just throw it up in the hope some will stick?
This is obviously from personal recollections. We get people coming to our main store
Paul Markham Content Store to buy on a regular basis. They buy our sets and slam us for brokering other peoples content in the main store. They pay full price or take the deals we offer, they spend thousands over the year, some are site owners others webmasters.
Then we have the guy who wants 5 sets and needs a deal, usually around $50 for the lot. He does not want to buy from
Bargain Basement Content Store he just wants to get a good deal. Some times he's just trying it on, but most times he's serious and moves on to the next content provider who has to give this deal to sell.
And there you have the crux of it, we do not have to sell on price from
Paul Markham Content Store because it's good, converts and is not saturated over the Internet. Now look around at all the content providers who disappeared this year, the guys who will shoot a custom set and video for $300 or the people living from hand to mouth shooting out of their living room.
And it's not just us who did this, there are many other content providers selling a good product at a fair price putting out of business the lame arses.
Now equate this to what you are doing or promoting.
