Anyone Go Shopping Yesterday in the Mess??

Anyone Brave enough and Go Shopping Yesterday or enter a mall or store??

wes 11-27-2004 04:53 PM

no, I did some shopping online. Way easier. :thumbsup But.. not always the way to go.

Babagirls 11-27-2004 04:54 PM

hell no!! people were waiting outside stores since like 1am, even sleeping outside to wait for the doors to open. fuck all that noise.

boneprone 11-27-2004 04:56 PM

It was a cluster fuck but it was fun doin a once a year shopping spree till the credit cards stop workin. You'll only see me at a mall once a year MAX..................

I get a call from my Visa, telling me there are some unusal charges being made on my card and they locked it.

I asked the guy what was so "unusal" about it, and he said well, "the charges seem to be coming from a mall or retail clothing stores" and that is considered "unusal"..

He said for most people it would be considered normal, but for me he said my profile or "normal" behavior for the card seems to be for food, entertainment, and mainly GAMBLING..

Fuck...

Even Visa knows I have a problem with gambling..

I cant even make a 900.00 purcase at a department store for clothes without scaring them, but if I make a $5,0000.00 online gambling deposit they are A-OK!

:eek7

Fuck no.

I did notice quite a few large ecomm site having trouble with load yesterday, though. It seems quite a few people decided to stay home and go the online route.

I avoid that shit like the plague.

As long as you do all your shopping before turkeyday you are fine. Once we cross that day it is like hell everyday at the mall.

Walmart 4.00am Black Friday! It was aight not to cold and no wind and rain/snow. Then line was a couple blocks long LOL

Picked up
2- digital cameras. 200 each.
2- 26in Mountain bikes $40 each.

KRL 11-27-2004 05:04 PM

I did. Bought a new pair of casual Rockport's at Nordstroms that were half off. A really sharp Calvin Klein dress shirt. And a new pair of dress slacks.

I was really a putz shopping though and must have had my angels on full time duty.

First when I was trying on shoes I left my PDA on the seat and walked off forgetting it there. My salesman fortunately spotted it and spent 5 minutes finding me in the store. I was blown away he went to the trouble.

Then my cell phone popped out when I was in Circuit City without me realizing it. Some little kid must have seen it fall off and picked it up and was playing with it when I realized it was missing. So got that back too.

Then when I left Circuit City I realized I had left the doors unlocked on the SUV with all my packages inside and nothing had been stolen which completely was amazing considering how many people were in the parking lot at that time.

And I donated money to th Humane Society at a booth they had at Barnes & Noble.

It wasn't really too crowded. Most of the nuts go out at 5AM now, so if you go in the late afternoon its much less people.

Yeah I got a nice Calvin Klien shirt too.

Jesus Christ.. IT was near 100.00 !!!

What the fuck?? Since when did CK shirts get to be 100.00??
Anyhow, it fit my fat body and made me look nice so I had to get it.

Its sucks havin a shitty body like mine. When something looks nice on me (rare) I have to buy it, casue most stuff just doesnt fit right or look good on me so I cant be picky.. If it fits and looks nice I have to get it. If only the shit that fit me and looked good was the cheaper stuff Id be happy.

Also bougt some Donna Karen and DKNY jeans and those fucking things were 100.00 each..

My mom would bitch and tell me to divorse my wife if she knew I bought 120.00 Jeans.

Crazy.

But thank God its only once a year.

It's weird ... here in canada, there would be 1 chance out of 1000 I'd get my shit stolen if I didn't lock my doors

Ive heard stories of the BestBuy day after thanksgiving crazyness!!

Just to buy one item takes over 2 hours!! At least it did last year.

I heard there were great sales, but it took FOREVER to check out..

But it was well worth it.

jukeboxfrank 11-27-2004 10:57 PM

baddog 11-28-2004 01:04 AM

I am getting my daughter a coat, and I wanted it to be one that she wanted. Since she has so little free timewe went to Burlington Coat Factory on Friday evening to see what they had.

Today (Saturday) we went to the garment district to do some comparative shopping. THey had nothing she wanted, so we went and got me a suit, then walked over to the jewelry district to get her a necklace while the tailor did his thing.

We then ended back at Burlington and got her coat.

All my shopping is now done. . . . except I may buy myself a new big screen . . .haven't really decided on that yet.

LOL -

Dre this isn't Canada.

#1 Car theft area in North America? I hear it's Surrey, BC.

Those sorts of comments will just start a GFY flame war.

We have enough of those already.

My suits are Italian . . . no need to deal with living there. Although it would be a kick watching them feed Christians to the lions.

I never paid much attention to the place, but AaronM turned me on to it, and now I am on first name basis with store owners and tailors there.

I will be pimpin' for Internext.
