Kernel32.dll error
 

I'm trying to install a software on win98 and it is giving me this error when I run the installation file -


Could not load the DLL library
E:\WIND98\SYSTEM\kernel32.dll. An attempt was made to load a program with an
icorrect format.



I tried everything, even reinstalling windows98 over itself and also on a separate partition. The error continues. I tried running it on windows 2000 and it installed fine, but it has gives some errors on 2000 since its not totally compatible. I tried installing it on another comp using win98 and it installed and ran fine. It's only giving the error on my comp. What might be the problem?

I get that same error, every once and a blue moon...not with all programs, just a few sumbitches.

I have assumed it was the shitty install of 98 on my PC... It doesn't do it enough to make me format though.
