Retirement

I am done with this in 1 year with over 500k in the bank.

Just a few more things to do and I am done.

Ya wont miss me, I wont miss you...

Well some of you I will and I love you for all you have given me.

Ron Levi
Brad Shaw
MikeAI

and numerous others.

I dunno how much longer I will be in adult I can guess about another year tops.

I am near completing what I need be done.
RETIREMENT before 35:)

Greed kills but under it all I just wanted my part all along.
A 3k Check monthly from interest.

I d not need all the things, big houses big mansions and mad cars.
I just wanted what was mine so I can wake in a morning and relax.

:glugglug
Cheer's all!

There is no better feeling than reaching your goals and being content. Good luck in your retirement when the time comes.

I still have some work to do with some folks its not over yet but I am glad to know I did make what I wanted out of this industy and can leave at any time:)

I can not say I did it all with perfection. I did it all the only way I knew how to.

I didnt make out like Marc De or Ron by no means. I still couldnt afford a special edition Mercedes SL or Top Real Estate East Coast.

I just made what I wanted.
For me.

A Property in Tahoe and a view to die for...
But for some reason I am still in Los Angeles.

quiet 11-26-2004 04:30 PM

awesome :)

i don't hold with any of the 'you'll get bored if you retire' nonsense. fuck that, there are plenty of other things to do in this world besides work. many of them much more worthwhile.

pxxx 11-26-2004 04:31 PM

Must be living the dream man. Congrats and I wish you the best.:thumbsup

Doctor Dre 11-26-2004 04:33 PM

I didnt do it all with Porn I did with investments in technology also.

I'd say its about 50/50 or so.

Sweating at Etrade buttons and watching stocks and following porn trends looking for opennings 24-7.

I still drive a Honda and live for the time being in a 2 story apartment. Its not a Glorious life of well to do pretentious substance. Infact it all has complications of it's own.

But dayum...

I got no Law Suits unlike most every other big player in the industry I can be thankful for that!

Congrats! :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup

I started when I was 19.

This biz is not all that it is cracked up to be.

My sincere advice to you folks just getting in. It's tough.
I was stupid and blew my easy money away on corvettes and a house ( RENTAL )I couldnt afford. Not tomention a divorce that costed over 100K and a bankruptcy for my ex wifes family.

I lost a daughter and pay child support, and still battle visitation to this day. Paying for flights out of Colorado every other month since the ex wife broke ass bitch that she is see's me as check.

I get to hear pity stories about how her new husband works in being a fucken plumber and school for my daughter is not going to be easy.

There goes 500, there goes 1000...
There goes a 800.00 fr unschedualed vist as the mother fucker current husband aint pulling his weight financially.

And I ask myself...

How can it be worth it to a woman to have a fucken Janitor over an arrogant, self centered son of a bitch like myself.

Chrome 11-26-2004 06:16 PM

Where in CO... i used to live in the springs and durango.

alexg 11-26-2004 06:24 PM

congrats on the early retirement...

well done

Theo 11-26-2004 06:25 PM

what are you gonna do all day? You'll get bored fast, but good luck :)

xclusive 11-26-2004 06:37 PM

damn man, that's rough..losing a child is tough..how old is your daughter if you don't me asking becasue when she gets a certain maybe she can/will have a say so on where she rather live...try getting a good ass lawyer

Diligent 11-26-2004 08:18 PM

Congrats man!

You're doing pretty much the same thing as I will, just a few more years gaining capital left.
I'll be no older than 35 when it's time.

Working for a huge freedom first, then living fully... that's what it's about for me. :glugglug

If You're going to be the overseer of Your investments and want to be free from
that as well, look into fixed-term Certificates of Deposit instead...

About the same interest rate You're talking about but less work than
having to manage Your investments. :thumbsup

Paul Markham 11-26-2004 08:38 PM

Well done AlienQ, stick to your plan.

I was going to retire at 50 in the year 2000, would of had enough to go sit on a beach in the tropics. But something side tracked me so hopefully it will be semi retirement in a couple of years.

Same here! :thumbsup

I see my own work & business activities as a kind of race...
I know when I've reached my personal finish line...
when I have, I'll be the one who decides how fast my world will spin.

Simply put:

Greater immunity to unwanted influence that people, government etc.
can have in my life that I don't think I should to tolerate.

And also the freedom to travel if I feel like it, whenever I feel like it..
without fear of losing my lifeline (work), like most people would if they
decided to leave the job for a month of nicer weather,

Wiggles 11-26-2004 10:53 PM

congrats man, i would love to make enough to retire off of, lots of work to do first though :)

foxylady 11-27-2004 12:47 PM

congrats dude :thumbsup

Illicit 11-27-2004 12:53 PM

For some reason I dont think 500k is enough to retire on... something comes up and you will have to start working again... I say wait until you got at least a million. make the money while you can... you have alot of years left

It depends on his location. If he's willing to move, explore and live semi-frugally, the interest on 500k could be enough to cover his expenses.

pornguy 11-27-2004 11:55 PM

Nice to hear that you are getting what you wanted. Hope that all goes well for you.

you just described my lifestyle right there

i have never bought a new car in my life....we are buying a house coming this year and we are looking for a smaller 3 bedroom...something quaint

i just want to wake up in the morning and smile because I can do whatever I want from that minute on

i have a buddy that just retired in Costa Rica at 32, he only had $75k in the bank

it is all in how you plan....with the right investments you can turn that $500k retirement fund into a few million easy

Vitasoy 11-28-2004 12:14 AM

Congrats, as long as your content with it all. Good for you. :thumbsup

Semi-Retired-Dave 11-28-2004 12:23 AM

That's what Jordan said and he came back. Retirement gets boring, you seem like a hard worker.

Best of luck either way.

qwe 11-28-2004 12:24 AM

i rather drive a bimmer and live in a huge house while keep working then retiring and driving honda and living in a shitty house waking up doing nothing... congrads i guess

$500K...invested properly will provide an easy five thousand dollar dividend each month and the principle will still grow.
