Selling a month old 17" powerbook

I don't know what I was thinking.
I am a PC user, and don?t have the patience to ?switch.?
I just dropped $3500 and I miss my right mouse click.

Gig of RAM, 80 gig HD, and I loaded it with $1000's in software, too.

photoshop
Office
Illustrator
Dreamweaver
FLASH
Final Cut Express
+more

But I think I want to get a PC instead if I can find a buyer for...$2800.

Anyone?

Or should I list it on ebay?

Cool. I'm embarassed to say I've never used ebay.

I guess its time to start. :) thanks.

And, Equinox, I pretty much got the best of everything they offered. You can get a much cheaper one off apple.com if you don't need it so beefy.

xclusive 11-26-2004 12:56 AM

Ebay is the way to go for the best offer...

I was suprised. I thought I would pick it right up. But I find myself avoiding the (very pretty) thing at all costs.

p.s. Bummed you didn't make it to Santa Monica. See you soon, I hope!

Oh my God, what a dumb reason for giving up the best machine you'll ever have. Either buy a mouse and get your "right click" back, or start learning to hold down the "CTRL" button. CTRL+ click = right click.

Give it some time, man. After you get used to Macs you'll never want to use a PC again.

Donny 11-26-2004 05:12 PM

If you'll try using it for two weeks to give it some time and then still don't want it, let me know. I have one and was going to buy an iBook for my fiance for Christmas. Maybe I'll buy your Powerbook instead.

Is the software legit? You still have all the disks, etc?

I was being cute about the right click. I actually have a USB mouse attached right right click and scroller.
It is just taking me too long to get the hang of the mac OS and final cut. I'm trying to use it wuth an external HD with minimal luck. What I really need is a beefy desktop and Premiere (that I know how to use).

Except for final cut, I do not have the disks. I can remove the extra programs if desired.

I have the disks for all of those programs anyway so you could format the whole thing for all I care. :) There's an apple store close by.

I'll give this some consideration over the weekend, and I'll ask my girl what she'd think about having a Powerbook. She really likes the look and size of the iBook. We'll see what she says.

What exactly don't you like about your mac? The fact that it just works? Or is the nice looks? It's powerfulness? Robustness? What is it?

The lack of power , the ugly colors , the incompatibility , the annoying salespeople. :)
