Audio Editing Software Help
I have a song, an MP3, I want to alter the voice of the singer, raise the pitch - what software do I need to do this?
free/shareware would be nice but not essential. thanks |

Problem is you will need to do a few steps to get what you want, and most programs, especially the free or cheap ones won't do them all. Unless you don't care about the tempo of the song, you will first need to seperate the vocals from the track, then make your pitch adjustment, then lay it back down with the rest of the track. Otherwise you will be playing with too many levels and would require a very expensive software package to do what you wan to do. IF you have the tracks seperated from a master recording you could get lucky, but if it's already in an MP3 format complete song you could be SOL...
