What does someone have to do to get your respect?

Earn it over a period of time through honesty. Even if i don't like someone i can respect them if they are honest.

Show integrity when nobody else will/would in a similar situtation. Be loyal come hell or high water (Semper Fidelis). Display TRUE courage in front of me (No front'n, I can see through that). Honor... Show that you honor certain people, certain things.

you don't have to EARN my respect, you got it from day one.

many have LOST my respect though.

Someone who is honest to themself, usually if someone is truthful to themself, they are honest with others. Someone who is cocky and doesnt brag about every little thing.

honesty is a biggie for sure

but kindness is also real important in my book

They must respect themselves first, before they can expect me or anyone to respect them.

i can't nail it down to any sort of simple formula. it is a complicated mix of things, that defy a mathematical sort of definition.

I give everybody the benefit of the doubt and treat them how I would like to be treated, But if they turn on me I treat them like they decided to treat me...

I think this is the truth, but alot of people have lost this value..

I will respect you and trust you until you show me a reason to do otherwise...
