Headed to Costa Rica on Monday

For those that care, Myself and my partner Patrick have managed to secure the required $1,200,000 in private investment for our Restort/Casino/Restaurant/Nightclub project.

All that is left is to get passed the Bank's Internal Risk Managment Board.

Wish me luck. If you're in Costa Rica and want to get together for drinks, let me know.

J-Reel 11-24-2004 08:44 PM

Congrats :thumbsup Let me know when the house warming party is?

warlock5 11-24-2004 08:44 PM

This particular hotel is 47 rooms on a bluff above a private white sand beach.

If everything goes through as planned, I'd like to put on a webmaster party. Imagine, the place to ourselves, and no rules. :)

Yes I believe you're correct. I'll be around the board still and I can be reached on ICQ at 97-37-47-80.

I would really love someone to teach me the basics of surfing. I know that's a pain for you experienced guys, but I'll make it worth your while. :Graucho

I'll help anyone who wants to make the move to Costa Rica. I highly recomend it as a lifestyle for anyone.

I'll be back in Canada on December 13th and I'll have more details at that point. Even if something goes wrong, god forbid, I have excellent legal representation and an in with the immigration office. I'll help you get set up either way.

WarChild 11-25-2004 12:53 AM

Thanks for all the well wishes... You can count on me keeping you all informed, because I'll have rooms to fill! :Graucho

I will undoubtedly make less money for the next 5 years running this hotel than I would running my adult business full time. However, this is what I really want to be doing. As I've gotten older I've come to understand how important it is to do something you really love.

One last thing, due to recent lucky streaks, Boneprone is not allowed to gamble in my casino. :ak47:

Well said. Sucks getting older, huh? :1orglaugh
I hate having realizations like that...hehe, well not really. Back when i realized it wasn't truly about the money as it use to be, so many things changed. In a good way though. Realizations like that can actually bring you more wealth and happiness then you had before.

I commend you for making the big step and wish you the best of luck.

It hasn't sucked getting older, yet. Life keeps getting better so far. When life stops getting better, then it will suck to be getting older. When I was 18 I began working full time for other people. It took me until I was 28 until I was working for myself.

It wasn't until I quit my job and moved to Costa Rica the first time that I realized I was a very material person. Money never really bought me happiness so it was sort of foolish to think more of it would. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to be poor or struggle for my living ... It's just I realize now there's so much more to life.

No definite dates yet. I was going to wait for the end of tourist season, probably early april. I'm also interested in checking out some property, most likely in the mal pais area but i'm pretty open. Where are you located and how can I contact you? Would be nice to have someone to surf with.

That about sums it up. I've lived in san diego most of my life and have grown very weary of the rat race. No house is big enough, and no car is nice enough. My friends are struggling so hard to obtain "things" that they forgot to relax and enjoy life. It was when I noticed that my constant thirst for adventure, and drive to live life to the fullest, began to fizz out that I knew it was time for a change. Life is about love and passion....... and money can't buy that.

Phoenix 11-25-2004 11:35 AM

Damn that is amazing.

I have been interested int his since i first saw you guys posting about it.

Congrats. There is money out there for solid business ideas for sure.:thumbsup
