How many clicks does free host ads take?

I am not really trying to start a paid versus free hosting debate, but rather getting an idea about how much of your traffic (to your sponsors) the top/bottom banners on free hosts take.

I know it varies from host to host and it obviously depends if the hosts advertisements fits with your content/promotes better/cheaper sites than your etc. etc.

Anyways, any thoughts on the subject? Maybe some freehost owners could make a sample gallery on track the clicks?

Back in time I made a couple of galleries and tried setting up advertisements similar to those of freehosts (didnt actually copy any, though). I tracked the clicks and I was surprised to see how few were the outgoing hits. I bet the freehosts have really good deals with their hosting companies. I dont remember any numbers (CTR) any more, but it was a lot less than 0.5%

I use those kinda headers and footers for my own galleries. The click troughs are terrible.

Its very true the free hosts take a very small % of the clicks and majorty of the good traffic goes back to the webmasters using the host.
