What do you think about this idea - bbs for peeps?

I think it might gather really interesting data from "average" porn surfers - and it might be very helpful for all of us.

ASB is only 40 hours old (young?) and therefore pretty empty yet, but who knows what the future will bring...

Interesting idea, but I'm curious for what purpose would it be? If they're sitting on a board, they're not typing in their CC numbers into my sites... which is where I want them to be... so... I don't think I understand what you would use it for?

Also, (just my thoughts) it seems to me that most of the surfers I run across prefer the immediacy of IRC chat rooms versus posting and waiting for a response... but that's just my .02 cents...

Actually - this board could be useful to YOU as a webmaster...

The point is that average surfers trust each other way more than a shiny ads. And
ASB is not *only* for surfers, you as a webmaster are welcome, too.

Though this site is very young there are a few requests already ("where the hell i can get a good movie site" etc. blablah whatever). So, step by and tell 'em... guide them... teach them...

And if they like your site they'll probably come back to the board to thank you,
they'll spread a word and others will come to your site and so on and on...

AND even more important - I would bet that good ideas will be born from surfer's
comments made on the board.

But first we must get more visitors to the board...

That's the craziest idea I have ever seen... It really exists already in password trading and hotlinking boards. All the questions I saw on the damn board where ways of getting stuff for free... "What's another site like thehun.net..??"

There is also a moron in there introducing TGP2 as a great new way to surf for porn which is really ignorant. Why are you webmasters telling surfers what a TGP2 is..?? The point of the next generation TGP is capturing those surfers that are so new they don't know about the big TGP's. If they realize your TGP2 is a shittier version of the original they will just hunt out that original which offers way more for free!!!

The last thing I as a webmaster want is another way for surfers to be able to find all the free porn out there... and that's all this board will become. Do you think anyone will ever come in there and say "hey, I'm a dumbass and would like to know where I can join a $35 a month paysite..??" or "Does anyone know where I can download a kick ass dialer..??"

I have to say that I am with THE TRUTH on this one ...

before you know it your board will be a sespool for password traders, hackers, etc !!

Go figure ... the vast majority of surfers will share your password they just got with others or trade it for a password that their friend just bought to a different site !!!
THIS IS WIDESPREAD ALREADY, and as a webmaster, there is nothing we can do about it except sell twice as many memberships to offset the costs of all the freebies. If you own a paysite ... you have people that have not paid for their password visiting your site ... and ALOT of them too!

A site like this will only encourage this activity.

I don't understand where all this password trading talk came from. As I undestand, it is supposed to be a place where surfers can get links for good quality paysites from a trusted source and exchange the ideas about them.

If someone posts a password, the admin should notify the paysite owner about it, so they can cancel this membership.

We can't just blind link paysites and expect sales these days. We have to provide a bit of a service to surfers to make them pay for porn when there is so much free porn around.
