Dan Rather Resigns?

hearing things over here but not sure if they are true or just really slow...forgive me if the answer is slow.

seeric 11-23-2004 05:19 PM

yes he announced it last week.
sad.

BitterPen 11-23-2004 05:21 PM

I heard he fucked up a few reports and was asked to resign. Don't know how much of that is truth or fiction.

I always loved hearing his voice on the news. He will be remembered.

:(

Yep, serious shit ... He based a report on falsified documents without verifying them more ... A step further, and he would have invaded Fox on false pretenses ... :winkwink:

Last week or not. I did not know. Some of use are not glued to the tv.

Interesting to hear what the final thing was for.

He should have a book out soon.

The guy is 73 years old! He's been with CBS for 40+ years.
