Okay Serious ? here need some input

what would u do if you had a site that had tons of good traffic, but you had to take it down because of trademark infrigement.

seems i registred a doman and it was close to big company and these pussys sent me letter this week, even though I don't see how my site is threat to them I must respeat there trademark filing.

1. i have to take it off my host cause they contact them.
2. site has tons of good traffic, can i take the content off that server change it to another server and forward the traffic somewhere.
3 come up with another domain name and forward traffic there.

keep in mind this is huge community base site with chat rooms, news members that login etc.

so its not as easy as it seems to just get new domain forward everthing there.

i have paid for lot custom scripts to have this site put together how can i protect my investment or still make some money off this.

WHAT WOULD U DO IF YOU ARE IN MY SHOES, AND I RATHER NOT POST SITE URL.

can i becasue i own domain point or forward it to another url or site with out them contacting that host saying same thing. I was thing i still own the domain name and I wouldn't put nothing up on index page but just have it forward somewhere else.

this site has tons of good se traffic also.

THANKS IN ADVANCE

good luck. I faced the same situation and they were not willing to allow me to redirect the traffic even with no page there. If it's something that's in the adult industry I would say just pull the page, cut your losses and start over. If it's not within the adult industry and you aren't using any of their marks I would say consult an attorney. It would be like The Hun going after the credit card company that's using the Huns on their commercials. It's not in the same industry and doesn't cause him any loss of business. If you have the money and the right circumstances and the domain is worth it I would certainly hold my ground.

I didn't give mine up and told them I would remove it but they could shove it up their ass if they thought I was going to turn the domain over to them to profit off of three years of my hardwork. They kind of backed off a little on getting the domain because they admitted that they had been watching it for the last three years and only took action because it had grown immensely and now had a lot of traffic.

we are not in the same business, my url is adult and theres is not.

even though both are web community base sites and fact that im using 2/3 of there name say there name is xyz.com my domain is adultxyz.com so under rules of trademark rules they have right to it.

but you are correct i don't want to loose all my hardwork and good traffic. so im thinking of getting another name and just putting it all on there.
