Never Ending Struggle
Ebony traffic?First of all let me thank you all for reading my first of many articles that I plan on writing for the board. Second let me thank katdaddy for the excellent resource center (message board) that he has put here for everyone to learn from. It's great to actually find a message board that is HELPFUL. Believe me when I tell you that I have been to almost every message board that calls itself a "resource center." Most of the message boards that I joined in the past were nothing more than upgrades from AOL. Script kiddies who enjoy bragging on what they don't have couldn't do or knocked others for trying. Now that all the kissing up is out of the way let me introduce myself, my alias is nap, nappy, naptyme or just Dominik. Whichever one you prefer to call me I'm fine with. I'm from Oklahoma and a college student who just happens to be black (yes, there are black people in Oklahoma). The thing that brings me to the adult industry is pretty simple, money. I started researching the industry in the summer of 02, and soon found myself caught up in the bull that surrounds most message boards. Luckily someone sent me an ICQ telling me that I needed to less posting and more work. This is why I am slowly but surely learning how to make a profit in this industry.
Now you might be asking yourself, "How can a newbie be writing an article trying to teach me something I already know?" which would be a totally justified and logical question for some, but for others I might have the answered to their questions. Like I said in the previous paragraph, I have been researching this industry for almost a year now, so I have picked up some knowledge. Today I'm writing this article on asking questions and to keep yourself motivated while you are jumping into unknown territory. You know the saying "the only stupid question is one not asked?" well in this industry it would behoove anyone who is just starting out to ASK QUESTIONS! If you look at ebonytraffic.com you will see my name on almost every single page, asking all sorts of questions. If I am unsure of myself I will load up IE and open up ET and post a thread. At least 95% of my questions have been answered with detail because I took the time to ask the question. Now a lot of message boards with gobs of members might answer your questions every blue moon, but it's rare. Nine times out of ten you will be either called a "newbie" or laughed out. Don't let that get you down, most of the people who laugh at you or call you a newbie want to know the answer to your question, but were afraid to ask because they might have been knocked on the message board. I mean think about it, if someone sees a thread for "Newbie needs help with Domain", why would someone who doesn't either a) help the person or b) know the answer for themselves? So don't get discouraged at all. I have been called everything in the online dictionary for about 8 months because of my "newbie" questions, but I'm still here. I am finally to make connections, giving me the ability to try to learn this complex industry. There are a lot of very helpful people online; all you have to do is show them that you are really serious about doing something besides post on message boards and building up a 1000+ replies under your name. People will recognize that you are sincere, just give it a try. The last part of my article will be about staying motivated. On various different occasions I wanted to give up and find something else to do. Now I am certainly no quitter but not making any headway is very, very frustrating to me. There have been plenty of nights where I turned my computer off completely, turned on one of my gaming machines and called it a night. At one point in time I didn't even want to see a message board or sponsor page, I even went as far as deleting all the content that I had collected. Thankfully I came back from my adventure off into the "real world" and came back to my senses. This might be a hard industry to figure out, but at the same time its not. What I mean by that is you are basically your own boss. How much you get accomplished is completely up to you (unless you work for a pay site). A real job in the real world SUCKS. I mean there is no other way to say it. Why work for someone who you are probably smarter than, yet they make more money than you? There is no reason unless you have just given up all hopes of being more than average. Like I said two or three times before in this article, I have been researching this industry for close to a year. And when I say researching I mean actually that. Going to different pages, message boards, top lists and seeing what is selling. It's amazing that almost everything, if marketed correctly sells itself on the internet. I posted a link of white guys getting sat upon by black women. Now who would really buy a membership to a site like that? White perverts who like to get sat upon by black women! Now if that doesn't motivate you and pursue the ability of controlling your own income then I don't know what will. This is the internet, there are no racial barriers to overcome, or asshole bosses to deal with, only traffic which is basically the internets currency. The fact that you are reading this article on ebonytraffic just goes to show that you are in a very good spot, and not stuck bouncing around from message boards. Use the search button to look up anything. Better yet, use the search engine and look for "nap". I guarantee that you will see one of my posting asking some of your questions. If I haven't asked one of your questions on the board odds are that I probably will, because I am constantly learning. Whenever I'm asked how far am I, or my goals I tell them. Learn about the industry, submit and make connections. I haven't even completed phase one of my plans/goals, but I have accomplished so much already. Granted it is very time consuming (my girlfriend reminds me all the time) but it is definitely worth it if you want complete freedom from the real world. |
