I think it's time for an update considering surveys say approximately 80% of American women are against marriage. How could this be?

Because women realize it's not worth buying an entire pig just to get a little sausage!

The joke was funny, but a serious question: do you have any info on these surveys or are they just made up?

I didn't run any surveys, no. I got this as a forward from a girlfriend of mine. She said most people wouldn't get the joke, but that she immediately thought of me when she read it. That's probably because I recently went through a shitty marriage and shitty divorce.

Fucking 20 guys has nothing to do with this point of view. Keep the same guy if he's worthy, but why marry him?

After my divorce, I let go of any preconceived notions of life and love and marriage, and I've been in the most amazing relationship imaginable for the past 16 months. Marriage isn't even a consideration, and it sure takes off a lot of expectation. We're equals, secure in our relationship, and feel no need to tie one another down.

If we're still together and still madly in love and deliriously happy another 3+ years from now, our lives are sublimely secure, and we want to start a family of our own... that's the only real reason to get married.

So I get top grade sausage and I don't have to buy any pigs!!
