So I am looking for a flight to Japan, and sometimes you get some real wacky combinations, but this is by far the craziest one I've ever come across. Check this out, to Japan from Honolulu it's pretty much straight through, which is good. But on the return flight, it's Tokyo to London, London to Los Angeles, and Los Angeles to Honolulu. Total duration, 51 hours and 45 minutes. Not only that, it's $6000, when a flight with 0 stops is around $850. :1orglaugh

lol, on the $6k flight you'll be sitting in the 'Sucker Class' section. :banana

You get some fucked up routes and pricing when looking for airfares online. Especially international stuff.

stop being a simpleton and sticking to a single airline... check out staralliance.com and find something that's conducive to your routes.

i bought an -around the world- business class ticket on star alliance for $4300... you can fly up to 30k miles, and have as many as 15 stops..... bangkok - vegas - orlando - brazil - amsterdam - hong kong - bangkok

I flew Cathay Pacific when I did my SE Asia tour. Unlimited flights around SE Asia for 30 days for $999 (or $899 in some cases). Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia,Thailand, Philippines, etc etc... Good deal if you want to go to all those places, but there are only flights out of the US in LA and New York, and every transfer goes through Hong Kong. The service was far better than any US airlines.
