The 2004 Most Corrupt Countries list is out
 

Transparency International has released their annual Corruption Perceptions Index for 2004.

Finland wins the prize as being the least corrupt country in the world.

Here's the top 20 ranking:

1. Finland
2. New Zealand
3. Denmark, Iceland (tie)
5. Singapore
6. Sweden
7. Switzerland
8. Norway
9. Australia
10. Netherlands
11. UK
12. Canada
13. Austria, Luxembourg (tie)
15. Germany
16. Hong Kong
17. Belgium, Ireland, USA (tie)
20. Chile


The title of most corrupt country in the world this year is a tie between Bangladesh and Haiti

Maybe I missed it, but I don't see the U.S. ranked on their list. I just thought it would be interesting to see where they placed.

Exactly...Costa Rica is listed as the 41st least corrupt country.....but we should be way more corrupt! (maybe down in the low 100s I'd say)

Actually it's both. It shows which countries are the most corrupt and which are the least corrupt.
