"Seljan, who sat in a wheelchair during the non-jury trial, was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport, where he allegedly attempted to board a flight with child pornography, sexual aids and nearly 100 pounds of chocolate."

That's a lot of chocolate :eek7

86 years old and he wants to molest children. The stories just keep getting more bizarre.

I found this interesting:

"The retired business owner is one of about a dozen men who have been arrested under the Protect Act, which was enacted last year. The law made it easier to prosecute those who molest children overseas and increased penalties."

The Patriot Act worked well here. If this is the precedent, there are going to be a lot more people caught on this charge. From what I've heard men going overseas for children is all too common.

I saw a thing on Nightline or 20/20 or one of those research shows a few months back that say its very common. They tracked some doctor who went to one of those countries and he was bragging about how he would buy 3 or 4 14 to 16 year old girls for a night for $50. They followed him back to the States and confronted him about it.

OMFG SICK :feels-hot

The chocolate is probably used to lure poor little kids into his web :( Disgusting :disgust

Kassidy 11-21-2004 06:22 AM

If he's doing this at 86 you can bet that he's certainly been preying on children for a lot longer, this is just the first time he's been caught. Pedophilia isn't something that suddenly afflicts you in your senior years. I bet he has a long list of victims right in the US already. :2 cents:

People like that they should just shoot them so that we don't have to pay for them. We the taxpayers will have to pay for all his medical care and food and housing and that sucks...

His intent is Sick....However:

This new *traveling for Sex* verdict begins to define a path for future rulings regarding *Traveling for (insert here - anything that is not legal in the USA)* Like a trip to Amsterdam with intent to use pot might land ya infront of a jury on federal felony charges.....not to mention how it might affect *interstate travel* right here in the US....scarey for sure as we watch our rights disappear.

Yeah, that is an interesting point.
