If you had TOO much money, would you dedicate your life to culture?

If you had enough money, say (20+ mil) would you outsource your biz (or put money in the bank to live on interest) and dedicate the rest of your life to exploring the world (travel, reading books, trying to write books, making a non-profit fan site, giving advice, educating people etc) or you'd just spend your life working hard to earn more?

I mean if you already have everything, few houses in several countries in the world, all the hi-fi tech stuff you need, all the cars you need etc..

Warden 11-20-2004 05:12 PM

I would definetly spend a lot of time with my family but also with kids in need. If they grow up with nobody, they're fucked. Join the Big Brothers organization. stuff like that.

WhoGivesaShit 11-20-2004 05:14 PM

is Bill Gates retired?

rj2kix 11-20-2004 05:16 PM

I guess, no.

It's nice to be financial secure though; most people are not, they live "day by day" to survive for each year.

SmutGiant 11-20-2004 05:42 PM

Proabalby wouldn't dedicate my life to it, but I'd definetly take a few years off :thumbsup

People that have "too much money" don't know how to quit. They get bored.

Besides, I've never heard of too much money.

No. I would dedicate to full body armor and unbreachable ramparts.

quiet 11-20-2004 07:48 PM

i'd circumnavigate the world in high altitude hot air balloons.

sixxxthsense 11-20-2004 07:48 PM

If I had 2 much money i would dedicate my life to vacations and partying! :2 cents:

pornguy 11-20-2004 07:51 PM

Having that kind of money in the bank is a dream of mine. If I had that I would sell my sites, for what ever I could get, and I would travel the world sitting in the libraries reading and enjoying my life.

XxXotic 11-20-2004 09:02 PM

no such thing as "too much" money, have you lost your mind?

xclusive 11-20-2004 09:09 PM

I would chill with my family and do as little as possible and live to 130 ...

Nanda 11-20-2004 09:35 PM

I would definitely travel...but I would set up organizations in my native country helping children in school. Unfortunately a lot of kids can't go to school because they can't afford their books, and uniforms, and not even to go to college. I would also secure all of my cousins university money!:winkwink:

stereolab 11-20-2004 09:36 PM

i would live by the ocean in n. california, read and make music.

r0nin 11-20-2004 09:42 PM

I would buy my way to power, make a small republic in some lost part of the world, build a legion of warriors and attack other countries, raping, killing and setting houses on fire. Once the US government starts taking participation on this, i'd buy shares from their debt and live safe in China.

GTS Mark 11-20-2004 10:46 PM

I'd probably buy some vacation properties in some great places, Whistler, Bahammas, Mexico etc... Spend lots of time from place to place with my family.

I would most likely still work doing something I enjoy, possibly real estate. Maybe doing deals to finance low income housing and government housing. I'd also spend alot of time with my family, friends and children. :)

DH

maja 11-20-2004 11:34 PM

i'd still do a lot of the thing i enjoy to do, travel, real estate, just on a bigger level. i'd also be able to dedicate my life to directing and making cult horror movies that ppl will remember for years to come. Then i'd set up a horror theme park in texas.

Wiggles 11-20-2004 11:37 PM

i'd try to make lots more cash then buy an island and rule it with an iron fist.

smack 11-21-2004 12:16 AM

i would write books and articles. speak out about social injustice. become a philanthropist, and try to help humanity.

Drake 11-21-2004 12:37 AM

I'd take some time off. Then I'd probably see if I could push business further... business would become a game, a pastime because it's not needed, it's only for fun, because you are already financially secure. So if you chose not to work hard, you wouldn't have to.

If none of those satisfied me anymore, I guess I'd play Russian Roulette.

emthree 11-21-2004 12:39 AM

Cant stop, wont stop.
But I would dedicate my time to helping out family, friends and the homeless($$$/help wise).

Lykos 11-21-2004 01:54 AM

I would put money in bank and start travelling for funn:winkwink:

In a second.

Thurbs 11-21-2004 02:58 AM

i'd travel all around, fuck amassing more wealth.

Stamen 11-21-2004 03:47 AM

Absolutely, I would become a philanthropist

But not dedicated as in being introverted towards my personal cultural endeavors, ie. spend the rest of my time painting.

kmanrox 11-21-2004 03:50 AM

i'd travel around the world many times just fuck fuck prostitutes...

oh wait, i already do that.

shrug..

crockett 11-21-2004 08:19 AM

Money isn't really the issue for me..I just want to have enough to do what ever I want to do when I want too. Other than that I couldn't care about what's in my bank account. I want to travel the world and do all that cool stuff.

my kind of guy:thumbsup

Jakke PNG 11-21-2004 10:57 AM

I'd travel, read, paint and draw.
I probably wouldn't sell my businesses, as everyone needs a hobby. :)
..Or, I could become Serge and post on BBS's and stir shit.

Goatse 11-22-2004 12:06 PM

I would dedicate my life to sitting on a quiet beach for the next 50 years, contemplating the futility of human existence.

EviLGuY 11-22-2004 12:09 PM

If by culture you mean fly around the world and see how many naive 18 year olds I could fuck.. then yes.
