Wow just got hit by a MAJOR earthquake!!
 

I was at a club and everyone started rocking back and forth...I know I wasn't that drunk yet :1orglaugh

Now when I got home, I have broken bottles and shit lying all over the place, and my downstairs neighbor has been cleaning up his damages for the past 2 hours.

I'd say it has to be close to a 7, since last time I slept right through a 6.2 and had nothing even fall

Damn, I hate earthquakes. Especially the kind that fuck up your house.

Atleast our foundations are sturdy here, I dont have to worry about coming home to find my belongings in a pile of rubble :)

I was in one last month in manila... first time... freaked me the fuck out... I was on the 7th floor of a hotel and it was swaying back and forth...

It's not a 7. You know that 6 is 10 times smaller than 7 eh.

Well I'll try and find out what it was....but I know if 6.2 did no damage, it should be strong than that......so it *could* be a 7 :winkwink:

One of that size, maybe every 3 months.

Small ones all the time though.......but I never hear of anyone getting injured or major damages, things were built properly here :2 cents:

So I guess it's something you just get used too? Wow, I just can't imagine. Glad no one gets hurt, guess all the buildings are built to withstand that sort of thing?

Really where abouts in Costa Rica do you live?

The fucked up shit is that one will eventually hit the east coast that is like a 10 and level everything...

I never have any problems.....they almost always hit between midnight and 4am, so I'm usually out partying when they do.

Yeah buildings here sway back and forth, but seem to stand up fine.

I think the carribbean side gets hit harder though and their houses are much poorer, so they might have problems when quakes hit.

Here though, it usually only lasts 30 seconds - 2 minutes, and I enjoy them :)

From the google link above, said there were fallen trees and some power loss.....

I only experienced things falling from high places and breaking, as did my neighbor and my GF, and I'm only 10 mins from San Jose
