What motivates you to run your adult business?
 

Many of us work on our own or run small companies. With these business models there are many extra responsibilities and risks. What motivates you to accept the responsibilities and take the risks in the effort to keep moving forward in the adult biz?

Money is the obvious answer, so let's hear some more in depth reasons.

It would take ALOT of money to motivate me to take the risks you are. Sexually Explicit be it simulated or not content without proper 2257 scares the hell out of me. I love the site and concept BTW.

You really can't get ahead working for someone else! Hopefully we can make enough to get the fuck out of California and live reasonably comfortable soon.

I should of retired years ago, had always promised myself to stop working in 2000. But met Eva and things changed.

I guess she motivates me, seeing her grow as a photographer, business woman and person is a great incentive.

The day to day stress of running a business I could easily do without.

I love what i do and the money is an extra, i been doing for a while and know my share of this industry so why stop now.

It is more a matter of corp structures in conjunction with countries - ie you may not necessarily operate in a country where your corps are founded.

If you mean as an operational base, there are a number of Caribbean Islands and several Latin American countries that are pretty helpful.

It really boils down to the fact that several countries don't actually have such things as "porn laws" - there is no need for them. Some have "part laws", but they are not related to anything like webmasting activity, - mainly common sense sex law stuff.

I run my own business so that I can provide for my wife and 2 little kids and have the flexability to take off if I need too since my daughter is only a year and 9 months and my son is 8 months I don't want them to be missing out on time with me while i'm off working a regular 9 to 5 job...

What he said + the flexibility to move wherever you want to and just take your business with you.

not having a "job" is great, but after a while gets pretty boring if you're working from home alone full time... I just got an outside job to get me out of the house,, I start Monday :)

I did this shit for about six months and didn't get paid anything. All I did was provide a FREE exclusive set of pictures to my Yahoo group members every week. I did it because I enjoyed it and I paid for it out of my own pocket.

I was running around chasing girls and fucking and getting my dick sucked for YEARS before the internet came along. I was just lucky enough to find a way to get paid to do what I was always doing.

And even though I'm not rich financially, I'm rich with TIME. I get up at 7 am and I'm done with the bulk of my work by 10 am which leaves me the rest of the day to do whatever the fuck I want. My kids live out of state and if I was a regular working man with a low wage, I'd never be able to afford to go see my kids all the time and pay for gas, tolls, hotels, food, etc. plus have enough time to get off of work to travel.

I love what I do. I met a girl last night and I told her I did porn and she didn't want to mess with me after that but I told her that I'd give a woman up over porn anyday because it's MUCH harder to find a good money hustle than it is to find a good woman. I told her to have a nice day and that was that.

I got into the adult promotion biz because of the wonderful people in the industry, the comradery I didn't find in the corporate world, the sense of freedom and belonging, a sense of higher purpose and of course, getting paid to look at nakered chicks.

Risk depends on what you do and what country you're in/hosted in.
for me it's freedom, being financially independant and being able to move if i wanted to. and the option of taking a shower or not. that's the big one!
