Too Much Pride Sometimes = Ignorance
 

I am proud to be an American, however there is a big difference between pride and ignorance yet a lot of the time they go hand and hand. Personally I believe that not caring about what other countries are thinking about America, is simply ignorant. Its almost like as if, generally speaking, most Americans think that its THEIR world, when in reality its painfully far from the truth. Yes you should have pride and faith in your country, yet when you mix that pride with ignorance, they basically cancel eachother out in my opinion. Im not saying that we as Americans should hang on every single word that comes out nor do I think that they necessarily HAVE to "care", when other countries voice their opinions, yet I think we need to take it into consideration, and at the very least think about it. It just bothers me to see some Americans just seemingly dismissing everything other countries say, and in doing so seems to be distancing us from the rest of the world.

Does the rest of the world have so low a self esteems that the USA has to say every day " there there now we are thinking of you" If they have an issue here's a tissue.

that's exactly what Asher is talking about. we don't necessarily need to offer tissues, but figuring out 'why' they have issues is very important...for OUR well being.

What a bullshit this is . Every Government on the planet is up to their eye brows in corruption, scandal and abuse . If you think you are the goods guys forget it there are no good guys left.....
