and also off topic why does it take few hrs to clear checks but wires take longer :feels-hot

It seems most of the major money center banks are doing it.

I wrote a check this week that showed as clearing my bank 3 hours after I dropped it off to the company.

:helpme now that's fast.

Cool , they took over Fleet banks , BOA wasnt around here on Long Island before the takeover,

they have online banking where you can do wire trnasfers and such i heard?

Bank One is doing it, and I think 5/3 is also on board. Too bad it still takes forever to update the online account info....

The Fleet Bank did not allow I think wire transfers online, but since they got bought by Bank of America I don't know now
