I got that too the first time I tried to run CS. I played HL2 for a bit and then tried again and all was well.

Did you try loading the game from Steam or did you just click the desktop icon?

i did both the icon and steam both say the same normal cs woks fine hl2 works fine but this dont work for some reason

I was a little stumped too, but mine ended up working.

Hope you can figure it out too.

all i know is when i loaded it the first time it made a uppdate on source and then it gave me this messages so

the last level is da shit. you gonna have some fun there with
