Canadian Adult Industry Legal Seminar Announcement!!
 

The date has been chosen, and it will fall on the same weekend as the GFY party (which will be useful to those of you who are flying in to attend that event). We are going to make this seminar a two-day event, with a maximum of 60 attendees per day. We are asking people to let us know if they would prefer the two days to be the 3rd (Friday) and the 4th (Saturday), or if they would prefer the seminar take place on the 4th and 5th of December. The venue for this event will be the Holiday Inn in downtown Toronto, a place that many of the GFY party attendees will already be at or near. Once we hammer out the final details about the date, we will post more information!

I must give my thanks to JMan for all his invaluable effort in helping to co-ordinate this event and make it reality. This seminar will definitely be a fantastic and informative event for all people who are currently in Adult in Canada, or those who are thinking of moving their adult endeavors to the great white north.

I spoke with the legal adviser on the phone last night and he's very anxious about this. He's got experience with Internet lawsuits before.

We will cover : Content, Spam, Hosting and be there to answer all your questions.

I thought I would post since I suspect this may affect others, as well.

I am interested in how to best deal with minor, but damaging libel and copyright violations. In my case posted to public web site bulletin boards.

The owners of these boards have taken to using proxy registrars, and they allow people to post via proxy web sites that mask the ip and isp of the poster.
