The TFT-LCD Flat-Panel Monitors are pretty damn bright and clear.

Too bad NEC only made a 17inch model but it cost as much as a 19inch LCD. But well worth it.

Staring at a CRT is like staring at a light bulb. No matter how cute they make the new CRT monitors, they'll still royally wreck your eyesight.
