Movie program for adding a URL

What's the best program for adding a URL to a MPEG or WMV movie without compressing it?

Tried in Adobe Premier and it's compressing it again so it looks like crap.

I'd be happy appending a video with a 2nd clip with the URL but when I try that every software I've used balks that there is like .000001 difference between the 2 files bitrates even though they are created with the same software and settings.:(

This is to put the URL over each frame, not to add a title sequence at the beginning and ending.

I haven't seen anything that will do this without recompressing...there's gotta be something out there. Maybe Vegas, never used it though.

you can either add a titling effect with the url, and render it. Or create a watermark / chroma key / PIP effect, render and voila.

If you don't wanna do either, we can.

We create custom watermarks.

AFAIK adding something to a video is going to require it to be re-rendered.

So your best bet is to start off with the full quality .avi, add the url and then encode it to wmv/mpg.

Add the URL with what? I had a filter that worked with Virtualdub prior to updating to XP that let me select a location on the screen and type in text to appear onscreen. I don't recall what recompression might have happened, the few clips I used it for look as good as the originals. I lost that filter when I switched to XP and gave up after trying a bunch that wouldn't work.
