At the market the other day, I found a booth selling Russian wine and vodka. The guy running the booth said the way to tell good vodka is to pour a little on the palm of your hand, rub both together, then smell. If you smell nothing, good vodka, if there is a smell, then the vodka has additives.

I am POSITIVE there are many on here that can verify if that is a correct test or not!

My personal test is if I can leave the bottle in the freezer and drink it straight from the glass, it is great vodka. If I have to mix it with Red Bull, it is good vodka. If neither work, it is bad vodka.
