I use a Pentium M 1.4 for video processing and it works like a charm
If anything then the slow 4200 rpm drives in a notebook could be your bottleneck. But there are 7200 2" drives available now |
1.8 for a notebook is good and like it's been mentioned you will want to max out the harddrive speed and memory while your at it...

I have 1.7Ghz PentiumM and it is sufficient even for my little gaming needs (only counterstrike + few strategies). I also do heavy photoshop work with RAW files and 20mb+ tiff files and the processor is really fast (I have 1GB of RAM).
No worries about 1.8 being ot enough for your internet work. |
