Are Your Christmas Lights Up Yet?

I'm gonna go shopping at Canadian Tire this week and pick some up for the new house. My neighbour just put his up today and they look awesome! Fuck my halloween shit is still outside and I have to take them down before the new years ;)

How about you guys, have you got you lights up yet?

wes 11-16-2004 10:01 PM

nope. Still unpacking boxes from the move.:1orglaugh

debbieN 11-16-2004 10:01 PM

Shit, my blinds are not even up in my new house.

My only decoration so far is all the moving boxes out front.

fris 11-16-2004 10:02 PM

not yet :) another week or so

hottoddy 11-16-2004 10:08 PM

Fuck that. I hate people who put them up before Thanksgiving. Two weeks before XMas is the threshold for me.

fatal attraction 11-16-2004 10:12 PM

Hell no! I can't believe it's almost Christmas!!!

undermyspell 11-16-2004 10:15 PM

nope but I love Christmas so much I would leave my tree up year round if I could.. as it is I rarely get it down before March because I love cold evenings by the firelight with it lit...

Spunky 11-16-2004 10:16 PM

Bah humbug...why bother when all I get is a lump of coal every year :BangBang: :feels-hot

MT_Butterfly 11-16-2004 10:19 PM

Not yet, but I'm making plans. :) The Griswold family is gonna have nothing on me this year.

Holly 11-16-2004 10:33 PM

No way. I guess it's different with you guys but we haven't had Thanksgiving yet and it's generally only white trash that puts them up before Thanksgiving, lol. Although I did see one house last week that has started but it looks like it's gonna be one of those monster displays with millions of lights.

Keev 11-16-2004 10:44 PM

I would say let my cousin do it for ya... he took his highschool job and turned it into a 3month career each year since.. now he nets around 150k a year doing xmas lights for people.... yes i said 150k.... has about 5 crews working for him.

LeeNoga 11-16-2004 10:48 PM

Yup, or 65% yup, we fire up a HUGE Christmas lighting event and our home makes the paid tour "Parade of Homes".

We have to have this bitch working for the first lighting Thankgiving.

I know the pain, but it is so rewarding when its all done :-)))

pornguy 11-16-2004 10:51 PM

Peaches 11-17-2004 07:48 AM

We might put them up over Thanksgiving. No one can see my house but I like to look at them :)

XxXotic 11-17-2004 08:28 AM

moving dec 1st so not yet, will be the 1st thing I do in my new pad

Herb Kornfield 11-17-2004 08:36 AM

1st weekend in Dec they go up here. With the new wiring we had done you'll be able to see my house from a satellite photo

2nd week is the tree.... Let me share the greatest tree stand in the universe for almost no cash. You'd have to bodyslam the tree to knock it over.

1. 5 gallon empty bucket from Home depot.
2. 50LB bag of small stones
3. Tree.

Step1: Fill the 5 gallon 1/2 way up with the stones.

Step2: Cut back some of the tree's lower branches to have about 6-8 inches of stump.

Step3: Place tree in and twist it to center and pour in the rest of the rocks to about 1-1/2 inches from the top and add water.

You tree is weighed down w/50lbs, you can move it all over real easy, cant tip that mother unless you jump on it.

and its 100% Hydroponic for all you heads out there :)

Enjoy.

nope we do that thanksgiving night...

Paco, of Large Cash. 11-17-2004 09:13 AM

Kryst, is it already time to rip the heads out of storage and place them back on the stakes?

(They look best when I take the time to wire the bulbs through the throat and place reds bulbs under the tongue and white ones in each eye socket. Also, place a hydraulic ram in the mouth, and wire it to each eye -- looks somewhat special when the neighbours are in front of my crack house puking and running around crying.

Ahhh ... I love the X-Mas.

loverboy 11-17-2004 09:18 AM

thanks for reminding, id probably start this weekend

Lykos 11-17-2004 09:56 AM
