"Everyone associated with MotoArt and ?Wing Nuts? lost a friend and a brother on October 11th. Tim Roberts was a man of many quirks, foibles, and fumbles, but that massive body of his was too small to hold a heart three sizes too large.
First and foremost, just being on the end of one of his bear hugs ?or just checking to see if you?re okay? phone calls could make your day.
We all know the drill ? even a few minutes with Tim could be exhausting, hilarious, frustrating, exhilarating, magical, silly, surreal, preposterous, powerful or any combination of the above. But no one who knew him would have it any other way.
We can all take some measure of peace from the knowledge that Tim died a happy man. He was starring in a television series. He was in love with a sweet young lady who loved him back. And he was surrounded by a group of friends who cared deeply for him.
What it gets down to, is that Tim has gone off to do damage control for a higher power.
And a document of his final nine months will unfold every Tuesday night.
We will honor his legacy by smiling rather than crying when he appears on the screen.
Rest well, Mr. Communications Officer.
We will always love and miss you."
