Is doing cardio at 11 at night for 45 mins weird?

Since I started doing this running shit I can't stop now. I missed this Am at 530 so I gotta make it up or I can't sleep. Does anyone else have this problem. I run down the beach and everyone is out having fun but I think I am having fun. Is that the runners high? "off to the races" :winkwink:

sometimes late night when i get home all fucked up...i do a bunch of push ups and crunches then crash...

Wiggles 11-16-2004 08:56 PM

cardio in the morning is better, on an empty stomach, that way you are burning fat and not whats in your stomach.

what no shower?

emthree 11-16-2004 08:57 PM

I use to hit the weights at 12-4AMish
I'd say 11ish is good, it's better than missing an entire day.

keep it up

I usually go jogging late at night. These cold nights are sucking ass, though.

true :) I do it every mourning , but after my coffee, is that still good ? or should I drink my coffee after my mouring work out ?

To tell you the truth I like to get out late at night like this and go shoot hoops on an outdoor poorly lit basketball court by myself. It's nice and peaceful with fresh air, gives me some exercise and time to think and relax.

So I can see where you're coming from.

4 miles in 45 mins not bad. I was under 9 for the first three than a bear jumped on my back..... LOL :thumbsup

I'm the same way. I would actually prefer to do it at night but I don't because I have a hard enough time sleeping as it is. I never feel like it when I first get up but I know if I wait and do it late it will just make my bedtime that much more stressful. I'm like that with everything, though. It's nothing to me to go out at 2:00 am and shop for 2 or 3 hours. :1orglaugh I had to get up really early today and I'm so sleepy right now I can hardly think, which is unusual.

undermyspell 11-16-2004 10:23 PM

the doc told me it's a no no less than two hours before bedtime or I wouldn't rest well.. said the mind and body needs time to wind down

Crystal Meth makes you do weird stuff like running around at midnight :Graucho

Doctor Dre 11-16-2004 11:08 PM

Nothing wrong with that ... I do cardio all the time too

clueless 11-17-2004 12:35 AM

There are no right hour/minutes/seconds to excercise. You can do it anytime you please.

FlyingIguana 11-17-2004 12:38 AM

run to the bar, drink a bit, then run back home. great workout imo

buzzard 11-17-2004 01:03 AM

Its's not weird. Same thing here only with cycling. I do at least 2 hrs a day, hard, like an animal. Can barely sleep at all in anticipation of the next day's spin. Everything revolves around my spins. Cold, rain it doesnt matter. Friends and family think its nuts.
You are Not Alone :thumbsup

xclusive 11-17-2004 01:08 AM

I run a late at night it's very peaceful...

xNetworx 11-17-2004 01:10 AM

boxing or kickboxing is a better workout for me than running and it keeps you on point :2 cents:

I remember hearing something similar. In fact, if I recall correctly, it could even be dangerous to do an intense work-out before bed.

Pornweaver 11-17-2004 01:53 AM

I've been doing alot of jumping jacks lately for some reason.

this summer i was doing a 4 hour hike up a mountain 7 days a week. the limiting factor was always sunlight, we'd always leave with *just* enough time in order to make it down before dark. actually, there were a number of times when it was dark the last 45 or 60 minutes down. you can barely see your feet, and every big rock looks like a bear or cougar lol.

So does crack but I am not jogging from people chasing me and I can't go to prison for buying running shoes.:thumbsup

Thumbking 11-17-2004 05:30 AM

Doing any excercise close to before you goto bed is bad. Excercise brings your heart rate up, So if your heart rate is till higher then normal before you goto bed it's not very good for you. As long as you let yourself wind down for a while your fine though.

My friend used to skip and jog then come home and have a protein shake then hit the sack. I dunno how he could even goto sleep right after all that, but he did. Just not good for ya.

adamneve 11-17-2004 06:18 AM

don't forget 100 push ups a day before bed
