Hey there, does anyone know why there is an experation date on bottled water? or have any interesting stories about bottled water? something they heard or read? i'm doing a speech on the arguements against bottled water, so anything would help, thanks!

I think it could be the plastic.

Most bottled water is merely "purified" city tap water with a bit of chlorine thrown in. The expiration date is basically the recommended date to stop selling / consuming it as the trace amount of chlorine is no longer effective against killing the Cryptosporidium swimming around in it.

supposedly if you freeze certain brands in the freezer...then let it thaw out and drink it...there is some harmful chemical that comes out of the plastic or something...so dont do that lol...
