Kimbo got beat up!

He took on Rich Gannon, an MMA fighter.

The funny thing is they disallowed grappling, submissions, knees to the head and everything else they could think of to give Kimbo a chance and Gannon still whipped his ass.

It was a hell of a brawl though.

I haven't seen the fight myself, but Sherdoggers are saying it was pretty dodgy... Gannon put Kimbo in a guillotine, they stopped the fight and somehow Gannon has to start with Kimbo mounted on him, shit like that.

Kimbo's friends were trying to get him killed, Gannon was just holding him up and punching him at will at the end...

The guy has two things going for him, he's got a hell of a punch and a hell of a chin but he's no real fighter, just a street fighter. And on the streets you would be hard pressed to find anyone that can punch as hard or take a punch like Kimbo, but MMA is something totally different. Gannon fought him on the closest of his terms that he could and kicked his ass, let's see Kimbo fight Gannon on Gannon's terms and that's a 1 minute fight, Kimbo choked out and with a arm out of socket.

I kickboxed for 2 years, fought some fights ( had to do it in quebec because full contact fighting is illegal in ontario) but alot of people under estimate the cardio it takes to fight a fight.

ALOT fucking harder then it looks! ALOT, adrenaline like that almost makes you breathless.

ohhh yeah! I used to train intense cardio for months. I would spar for 6 rounds straight with only 30 seconds in between. That was after doing an hour of cardio and workout (not weights, punching/dodging/rhytem/combo exercises)

So that their alone was pretty intense then the 6 rounds too. I was doing it 2 nights a week, plus lots and LOTS of skipping.

So i'd goto a fight, and after the second round, I'd think i was going to pass out cuz i couldnt breath. The adrenaline takes it outa ya, plus a real fight is so much more exilerating.

Was fun, but I quit cuz it takes to much time, and i didnt plan on going anywhere with it, was just for fun.
