Any computer music geeks here?

I am looking for good mastering software. Mac or PC. I have been using Pro Tools LE and am not thrilled.

I need something that works realtime so i can hear the changes i make on the fly.

try Adobe Audition 1.5, I've been impressed thus far although I'm by no means heavy into music editing..

thanks..that sounds like what I need. I have played guitar forever, and have been using computers forever but am only just getting into combining them.

ProTools is an industry standard. :2 cents:

Try Acid Pro, or CakeWalk

I don't master my own stuff. I usually send it out to people that know what they are doing. When I need to pump up a mix for a demo or just to see if my mix worked I use the basic Waves Plug Ins. I do all of my recording and mixing in SONAR 4 (cakewalk). Mastering is an art form of its own right.

I know..I don't know it well enough to use it effectively.

we usually use someone else to do our mastering but I need to have this done today for a radio promo so I am stuck doing it myself...
