70% of registered voters are Democrats?

I was listening to Republican radio today as I was going through the channels...I wasn't sure who the host was but he was stating how if every registered voter voted, Kerry would have won 70/30.

BS or is there some validity to this?

Doctor Dre 11-15-2004 07:54 PM

If it's valid ... then they cheated way more then we think ... the pools and everything else

Well, he was claiming that Democrats well lazy asses who didn't go out and vote.

sickkittens 11-15-2004 07:57 PM

I wish I caught who it was. His comments were so idiotic. I know it wasn't Limbaugh or Hannity.

It's valid. Most of the "Get Out & Vote" campaigns are run by, and targeted at, "democrats"

The issue is that while it's easy to register when there's a voter drive at the mall or on MTV etc, that doesn't really translate into "folks getting off their asses and heading to the polls"

Kerry lost because the slackers stayed home - NOT because "Bush cheated"

ask 12clicks, he knows all

I heard somewhere that only 17% of eligible voters between the ages of 18 and 28 voted in this years election. That is beyond pathetic. This is the same age group that participates in rallies, riots, and other public showing of "beliefs", yet they fail to do the one thing that really matters... vote.

All talk. No action.

I know a guy who goes on and on about Bush constantly. Doesn't shut up. Its actually really annoying. Didn't vote. Isn't even registered to vote.

What a worthless piece of shit.

That republican is a moron. It's BS. First of all in MY state and many states you don't even declare party affiliation. In most other states INDEPENDENTS outnumber both dems and repubs.

Give it 4 years.

Peaches 11-16-2004 12:59 PM

In many states, you register to vote - period. You don't say if you're a democrat, republican, libertarian, etc. Ergo it would be impossible for someone to make a statement of how many of ANY party is in the US and have it be accurate.
