Ever Hear Of Raccoons Attacking Cats?

I had my cat fly in the house and start growling at the window..Two coons were in the yard..I heard of them dissembowling dogs before..good thing she bolted inside ..Them fuckers are going through my grass looking for grubs..I guess I should keep her inside from now on.

Those buggers were pretty big..It's like a bloody farm out here..Huge skunks and possums as well as the coon family..I'm not used to it since I live in the city

My cat was raped by a raccoon once. He came in after much yowling and spitting with scratches on his neck and wet stuff on his back. But shh, don't tell. He's still embarrassed about it. I'm just glad they didn't kill him. He's 14lbs, but declawed in the front.

If the cats claws have been removed, the equivalent of a human having the tip of his fingers removed at the first joint behind the nail, he should NEVER be outside again.

Why was a declawed cat outdoors? He's completely defenseless. That's pretty irresponsible.

He wasn't allowed outside because of all the baddies out there, but he snuck out when we were sitting on the deck. I was just going to get him when I heard the yowling.

Actually Raccoons are known to kill and eat cats. They get the cat to chase one of them, then the other 5 or 6 that are hiding attack it and kill it. Kind of like Jurassic Park.

Not sure about cats, but my dogs nearly had one cornered in the back yard of my old house. Lucky striped little bastard almost got to play Rottweiler tag. :thumbsup

VIPimp 11-16-2004 01:48 AM

Hell yea they do... they beat the shit out my old cat many times.

They also will attack you, be careful.
