A Kansas Family Reunion
 

Today we had the annual family reunion that my mother's family belongs too. We enjoyed good food, better beer, sang early happy birthday to the oldest living relative (she'll be 82 on Sept. 27th) & remembered those who passed on before us. I went with my mother, uncle, younger sister & step-father. I got a few pictures but not as much as I wanted as only 30 out of the usual 60+ showed up. Many were just too far to attend the one day affair & some were afraid to travel with the current events. It was a two & half hour drive just for the five of us.

After we remembered those who passed on before, we took a moment of silence for those innocent lives lost in New York City & in Washington, DC. Then we said a prayer for those lives that will be lost in the coming year.
