Halo 2 on modded xbox will cut off xbox live?
 

Cnet has reported more and more xbox gamers that have been cut off after playing Halo 2 online on their modded xbox.

Did anyone hear about this yet?

if you got your modchip on, i think you would get cut off

mine has the chip too.. i need to get the other addon chip so it can let me play online

Yes if you go online with a modded xbox it will cut off your live and you wont be able to use it anym,ore online.

apparently, they're checking harddrive sizes now too. so even if you have a softmod that lets you disable the chip for live play, you're screwed if you swapped the HD.

yes, it'll mark your eeprom, and you'll have to go get a new one.

Yep, got a modded ps2 but never modded my xbox - saw no point in it - only a few games worth buying every year.

it's nice to have all your games loaded onto a HD so when you travel or whatever you dont need the disks. Plus everything loads faster too :)

they bust you for illegally modding your xbox, and it's a ripoff?

The sad part is that the people that had modded Xboxes and were still using Live were the ones that had actually bought games, since you always had to have the original store bought DVD and mods turned off to play over Live, from what I understand.

Just download http://www.xbconnect.com - there's thousands of people playing at all times. Works just as good as Live. This is for Halo only, no one plays any of the other games through this.

That happend to my friend. He got another EEPROM and now is he playing online with no problems.
